Terms of Use

Pawgnosis helps you record and organize information about your pets, such as symptoms, medications, vaccinations, and vet visits. Pawgnosis, including its AI assistant Dr. Paws and the free tools on our website, provides general information only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Using the Service does not create a veterinarian–client–patient relationship.

Always consult a licensed veterinarian about your pet’s health. If your pet may be experiencing an emergency, contact your veterinarian, an emergency animal hospital, or an animal poison control hotline immediately. Do not delay seeking care because of anything you read in the Service.

Dr. Paws uses artificial intelligence provided by a third party to generate responses. AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date, and you should independently verify any information before acting on it. Do not rely on Dr. Paws for decisions about medication doses, emergencies, or treatment.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your device secure. You may delete your account at any time from within the app’s Settings or by requesting deletion at pawgnosis.app/delete-account.

Pawgnosis offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, Pawgnosis Pro, available monthly or annually. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android), and are charged to the account you use with that store. The current price is shown in the app before you confirm your purchase.

Free trial. Where offered, new subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Eligibility is determined by the app store. Unless you cancel before the trial ends (on iOS, at least 24 hours before it ends), your subscription will begin and you will be charged automatically.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it beforehand (on iOS, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period). Price changes are handled according to the app store’s rules, which may require your consent.

How to cancel. On iOS: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. On Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting your Pawgnosis account or the app does not cancel your subscription.

Refunds. Because purchases are processed by Apple or Google, refund requests are handled by them under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds for app store purchases directly.

You keep ownership of the content you add to the Service, such as pet profiles, photos, health records, notes, and messages to Dr. Paws (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending it to our service providers as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for Your Content and confirm that you have the right to upload it.

When you use export or sharing features, such as sharing a PDF vet report, anyone you share the link or file with may be able to view it.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes anyone else’s rights.
• Attempt to access other users’ data, or interfere with, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Service.
• Bypass or attempt to bypass subscription features, usage limits, or security measures.
• Use automated means to access the Service or misuse the AI features.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

If you allow notifications, we may send you reminders and account-related messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Anthropic, OneSignal, Resend, Supabase, and Hostinger, as described in our Privacy Policy at https://pawgnosis.app/privacy. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for Your Content, you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission. “Pawgnosis” and “Dr. Paws” are our trademarks.

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
• We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes that party’s intellectual property rights.
• You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded Pawgnosis from Google Play, your use of the app and any purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and Digital Source Solutions LLC, not Google. Google is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, or support.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT, IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY HARM TO ANY ANIMAL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE OR FROM RELIANCE ON ANY INFORMATION IN THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $50.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 1, 2, 9, and 12 through 16, will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
